Hey guys/girls,

i did an engine swap not too long ago and the time has come for me to change the oil, and i was wondering how much oil i have to put in?
and also im using Castrol Edge 5-30. it says for "highly tuned 4cyl engines". Anyone herd of this oil before?

thanks
christian

Everyone has heard of that oil. :) I use it in my car, and it's better than Honda FEO. But, does your B18C burn oil? If it does, then it would be better to go for a 0/5/10w-40 oil.

Hey man, bout 4 litres, put in a bit less, let it settle in the engine for a few min, then check the dipstick, add a bit more if req'd!

It's a good oil. Currently, I have the 5w-30 in my car. If your engine doesn't burn oil, it'll last the whole service interval without breaking down (which I experienced with a mineral oil). I even went to last year's Wakefield track day with Castrol Edge 0w-40 and it didn't gum up.

Thanks all :)
yeahh i just wanted to make sure if there was a difference between the D & B series motors before i went ahead and did this, as you dont want to spend all this money on a conversion, not to take care of it :p

Christian, thought you would have changed oil by now lol....anyway if you have any questions about the oil itself just pop me a pm. I've been using this oil for a long time, and I prefer it compared to some of the other options.
