eg speedo not working

hello all

the speedo didn't work in the last unit so i've changed that, after installing the one it worked in the begining but now its not working at all.

could someone tell how to fix this, thanks.

look at the VSS ( vehicle speed sensor) located above the differential housing , on the gearbox.
Its sitting next the the rear engine mount on the drivers side.
