How to use "override code" for immoboliser?

hey guys

i got a card with a 5 digit pin number on it.. for overriding the immoboliser..

can anyone tell me how it works?

just assume the number is 31638

i unlock the car.. and as i turn the key the engine wont start (and the hazard lights would start flashing).. which is normal..

now i know its sumthing along the lines of "turn the key and let it flash 3 times, then let go and turn again and let it flash 1 time, and let go and let it flash 6 times.. etc..
i tried that and nothing happens.. still armed.. perhaps my timing was wrong?

im wondering wat im doing wrong.. n e 1 know exactly how to do it to overide the immoboliser?

It depends on your immobiliser.
