Hey guys, im looking to lower my car abit more, currently lowered with King Springs 1"
Looking for a dump of 2" or maybe 2.5" but from deciding NOT to go coilovers decided to change springs only as i dont see a point on getting coilovers if im not gna be going to the tracks etc.. any suggestions on a brand? and why? or if you currently have one on your DC5R? would you recommend it?

i was like you before
so i got whiteline springs...
very nice and comfy... smooth ride... felt like factory just lower...
after a few months my shocks started squeeking over speed humps and so on..
the car doesnt sit exactly how i want it, not very even. id like the back a bit lower
if i had the chance to go back and save that $400, id spend it on a nice set of coilovers.. even buddy club N+ ones which are at a pretty reasonable price...
oh if u want my suggestion i'd got for eibach springs.. my friend has them on his accord... the ride is 10 times better then my car...
dont know how low they go on the dc5 as they look pretty high stock..

BTW my last post was not a hijack. Reply was still in line of what the original posted required - springs that lower the car greater than 1". Just so happens i have a pair that i want to sell. You should let the thread starter deem if the post is worthy or not - they have a mouse and can report bad post if they wish...

what shocks are you using?. theres nothing wrong with king springs if you want budget setup although the difference between getting koni + new springs isnt that much cheaper than a set of adjustable coilovers.
king springs,, whiteline, eibach springs wont differ much in performance / comfort. you could also get your current kings compressed

lowering more means your shocks will die more quickly.
why waste your money; youre going to be buying new shocks when the current ones die, so you may as well save yourself some money in the long run and get coilovers.
saying that there is no point getting coilovers because you dont drive on the track is just silly, there are ones designed primarily for street driving, eg tein SS, in which the latter S stands for STREET.
if you buy a good set of street orientated coilovers you will have both height and damper adjustability, and a much better ride than if you stay with your stock shocks

 exactly. and one of the advantages over just having lowered springs is that you can raise/lower your height fairly easily, to suit different passenger loads, or to find the best balance between appearance/practicality.
