hi all,

this is my first time on ozhona, i have a prelude vtir 2000 model which i just bought some 17" rims for it with some 215/45/17 tyres and it is rubbing on the back left side when i go over bumps and when i turn tight corners. can someone sugest what the problem can be and what i can do to fix it?

its most likely the offset......5th gens have a recommended offset that would work without any scrubbing...Also is ure car lowered..?? But whats also weird its only occuring in the left rear...??

How can you tell what the offset is? Anyway I was told that the rims that I bought fit on my car they are 17x7 and where fitted by The Tyre Factory. It's not lowered as yet. Plus before I put these 17" I had rattling sound come from the back left corner when I went over bumps with my stock 16" wheels on but there was no rubbing.

ive run 17x7 before no problems.
Ah ok from what is sounds like it aint ure rims or tyres or your offset ....
its probally a suspension thing....could be some rubber bits/pieces may need replacing but yeh check if theres anything loose...

Might need to get your guards rolled... if your tyres are rubbing your guard at stock height theres no way you could lower it.... or... your bumpstops might be rooted?

what do you mean by bumpstops?

maybe you should try 215/40/17
or even 205/40/17 with appropiate load rating
