Hey guys, im not sure whats its called but on the CD5 accords is there ment to be a black padding noise gard thing on the bonnet ?
On the inside of course, between the motor and bonnet..

its not on the motor.. its on the radiator support.

Its helps to keep the noise down from the engine bay. But I dont have it and i dont want it. I wanna let ppl hear my engine. And besides it just puts more weight on the car :P

most australian model doesn't have it .. i think

i dont have one, dont need/want one. its all quiet enuf for me neway :)

besides, a while back my family had a falcon that had a fabric under-bonnet thing that a mechanic did not secure properly and it fell onto the block and caught fire...

i had one..

mostly on JDM accords have it..

mine was from a JDM accord..

just keeps the bay quieter and supposedly cooler :S

Thanks guys, im guessing its not on there standard..
Im just looking to make my car a bit quieter, can hear a fair bit of engine and road noise..

If your looking at getting rid of rode noise u might want to look at sound deadening its what the guys in the car audio scene use to optimise audio quality. I used the stinger ROADKILL deadening in my doors, big difference. most specialist car audio stores carry it.
