Hi all,

My EK is fitting with 205/45/ R17 now, because It is a second hand car so I don't know how much the car has been lowered.

But now I plan to change 185/55/R 15. Before I do anything, I got few question here, Please help me!!!

1) If I change to 185/55/R15 form 205/45/R17, my car will go furthur lower or raise up?

2) After I change to 185/55/R15, If I lowered my car around 45mm, would it too low?

3) If I really lowered my car 45mm, will there still any gap between the tyres and the body?

As my ideal lowered rate is 2 finger gap between tyres and the body.

Thank all

195/50/15 would be i ideal size if you are going to change
there wouldnt be much of a change in ride height
as to your last question it depends what height your car had originally

1, i wouldnt go with a 55 the tyre will look huge. stick with a 195/50 or similar

2, wouldnt be to low just be a bit above the tyre.

3, see above

Try to use tyre size calculator. One example:
http://www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresize.html

Based on the information from the website above:
1. if you change from 205/45/17 to 195/55/15, the difference in the diameter is 20mm which I think your car is lower by 10mm.

2. if you lower the car again by 45mm, that makes the car lower by 55mm from your current setup.

3. the gap between body and tyre would also be lower 55mm than your current setup.
