Went to the exhaust store today and recommended metal cat, think he mentioned a magnaflow one. Is there a magnaflow metal cat?
Just wondering what are your opinion on these?
I have heard good things about them.
I believe the branding itself its called 'Metal Cat'?

Here's a good read

"Metalcat" is a brand name of a metal monolithic catalyst manufacturer.
Though it is unlikley they make their own substrate, they do name their product after the metal structure of it.
There are a number of brands available on the market, all claiming to be better than the next.

i got dyno results on a B18C done by adrian above,
before- stock crx cat with crappy press bend 2" cat back
after- "metalcat" + 2.25" mandrel skunk cat back + retune
net result- +0.1kW & a shitload of noise
hope u get better results (btw this result reflects on the products not the tuner)

i got a magnaflow metal cat. I didn't dyno the car but i replaced my 2 1/4" hiflow Catco cat with the Magnaflow metal cat and i can certainly feel the difference in acceleration. It accelerated more freely and was revvyer
