one is situated on the runners of the exhaust manifold, and the second is just before the cat.

i believe both are single wire o2.

Yeap.. so has 2 while some has onli 1 just like mine... at the collector of the header... while those had 2... will be 1 at the side of the header n 1 at the collector of the header....

Cheers

all OBD1 cars have 1 O2 sensor , while OBD2 have 2.
It seems OBD0 has 2 , too.

I have a gen1 b16a, n the sensors r just afta the headers go from 4 to 2.... this was a hassle when i installed type r headers (which i got cheep) n it ended up costing me $250 to modify at Liverpool exhaust

Early VTEC engines use two oxygen sensors arranged to read one cylinder pair per oxygen sensor. The mixture for each cylinder pair is tuned separately. It is important not to wire the sensors around the wrong way, otherwise one cylinder pair will run lean, and the other pair rich. It is also important not to wire one oxygen sensor into both sensor inputs, otherwise the engine will run either very lean or very rich.

You can not tap into the o2 sensor and run the second off the first, in an attempt to trick the ecu into thinking there are two o2 sensors.

The reason for this is each o2 sensor runs Two runners, if this is done two will either run very lean or very rich.
