Just wondering if there are any brands of springs that can lower the car by more than 3 inches before going to height adjustable coilovers. I already have 3 inch king springs atm and im very pleased with the ride confort and im just wanting to go another inch without investing $$$ into coilovers and sacrifice the ride confort. So just wondering what brands can do a 4/5 inch spring withouth the use of coilovers? Thanks

Unfortunatly theres no way you can get what you want. 4 inches drop is not posible without sacrificing ride comfort.

Your car will have extremly little bump travel left to play with. Youll be hitting the bumpstops regularly, unless you get stiff, hard springs. Both conditions mean very poor ride comfort.

Are you on stock shocks? They wont handle the spring rates you need to keep off your bumpstops. Your probably aware already, but any form of good handling your car has will be lost for that slammed look.

Even coilovers will find it hard to work with that drop, good chance the shocks in them would die after a month or two of street driving, as personally witnessed with a set of skunk 2 coilovers.

If you still want some slight comfort whith another inch drop, you will need to regain some shock travel. The best option for you would be to get somthing like the ground control top mounts (groundcontrolstore.com) which move your current shock/spring combo 25mm up into the body (lowers your car 1" further if you change nothing else). This will allow you to keep your suspension with the same ride comfort (shock travel & spring rate), providing your tyres arnt scraping and your upper control arms have enough clearance.

*cough* *cough* rep points *cough;)

Muzzs idea is the best. If thats not an option you will need to revalve your shocks in order to get the lower ride height with out bottoming out and to hold onto some sort of good handling. King springs and other companies can make a spring any height you want you just need to specify your hub to guard measurement. The car will ride more like it has coil overs but it will handle much better than if you dropped it without revalving the shocks.

yeh i have king springs atm and the ride comfort is nice, but it rolls alot when going around corners. So the best option is either getting top mounts or just going back to king springs to get a 4 inch drop? How much would the top mounts set me back?
