dash lights

hey guys i own a dc2 and i have a problem and it occured when i was driving last night my dash lights just stop working and parkers dont turn on no more same as tail lights and number plate lights but heads light turn on blinkers work too, what could be the problem please i can't see dash at night.

i've check fuses they are all fine checked bulbs all fine too what could it be


UPDATE: the dash lights, parkers and tailights only lights up when i arm/disarm my car.

my mate put an aftermarket headunit in his car and before it did everything worked fine and when it was in there the same problem occured.

have you done any dodgy wiring which may have a bad earth or could be earthing on some wrong wiring??

check your fuses again.

if you dont wire up yuour dimmer wire correctly itll short, and blow all of the aforementioned lights.h

so your sayin that all these lights u mention actually do light up when u arm/disarm your alarm.

If so then the relay that comes off your alarm & does flash all these lights is fecked.

Its strange that your alarm does flash all these lights & not just the indicators.......:confused:

yea alarm is a viper and when i disarm or arm me alarm it lights up parkers and dash lights but when i turn me parkers on it doesnt light up at all so i got no tail lights and dash and parkers

try to find the relay,it will be tucked in under the steering column somewhere near the fuse box & take a pic of it if u dont know what to do with it & post it up,it will cut into a red/black wire

the relay is it part of the car or alarm

Its part of the alarm system,lets the alarm box flash all the lights u mention,usually just does the indicator lights
