if the block says B18C5 then its AUDM,
if it says B18C, then it is JDM.
Could be a VTi-R (SiR-G) motor or a Type R.

OMFG too many odd answers gents making this very confusing !
B18c
xxxxxxxxxx
JDM SiRg + ITR
ITR has red engine cover = 200ps (147kw)
B18c2
xxxxxxxxxx
AU VTiR = 125kw
B18c5
xxxxxxxxxx
= USDM ITR = 195ps
B18c7
xxxxxxxxxx
= AUDM ITR = 190ps - (141kw)
H22A1
xxxxxxxxxx
= AUDM 142kw
H22A2 / A4
xxxxxxxxxx
= AUDM 147kw
H22A
xxxxxxxxxx
JDM
B16A
xxxxxxxxxx
= JDM SiR 162ps / SiR2 167ps
B16A1
xxxxxxxxxx
= AUDM CRX 117kw(although much debate has it at 118kw)
B16A2
xxxxxxxxxx
= AUDM Civic VTiR 118kw

basicly with the engines if its say B16A2 with the engine number that follows that means its AUDM.....if its just B16A with the engine number following, then that should be JDM.....thats wat everyone is pretty much saying

whats more powerful: a b18c or a b18c5?
which b18c are you referring to..
b18c5 is the US type R engine.. equivalent to our b18c7 (type R)
b18c is the engine code for both type R and sir (vtir equivalent) for jdm models..
and b18c2 is the vtir engine..

Theres also a civic with JDM B18cR motor in it that has been used in Sepang as part of the Super GT and BTCC then found its way into an ITR which set the <2000cc lap record at Barbargallo Raceway then was transplanted into a civic which now drives around the streets of Melbourne :)

jdm cars don't have numbers stamped after the original engine number..
e.g. b18c (jdm) vs. b18c2 (audm)
so when checking out jdm b18c's, you'll have to spot the cosmetic differences when identifying the type r and the standard sir engine (like intake manifold - assuming it's still stock)

so what ur sayin is that there are two different jdm b18c's? a jdm ITR and an SIR?

yes. thats what i have, the SIR... or GSR in american terms

so the b18c from a jdm ITR is more powerful?
