Hi guys,

will be doing a DIY clutch kit replacement tomorrow and was wondering if any of you can advice on the torque settings for the flywheel + pressure plate on a DC2R?

many thanks in advance.

I think that the torque settings are the same as B16a.

That is "25Nm" for Pressure Plate --> Flywheel Bolts
And "105Nm" for Flywheel --> Crankshaft Bolts

Bolts should be done up in increments ie 10Nm ---> 15Nm ---> 25Nm in a rotational pattern.

You should also get the flywheel skimmed while your there if there are any scuff/burn marks from the old clutch. This will ensure that there is a perfectly flat surface between clutch disc and flywheel, eliminating unessasry clutch shudder.

wot happens if u tighten the bolts in the sequence but didnt pay attention to the torque settings?

will the clutch/flywheel ****up?

Worst case scenario, if they are not tight enough, is that they may come loose, wiggle there way out (at 8000Rpm :P) and root your clutch, disc and maybe flywheel.

If they are too tight, there 'may' be a chance that you could strip a thread rendering your flywheel ferguts'd.

cheers for the info. I have a Spoon LW flywheel with Exedy HD Organic clutch combo and yes, torque settings are crucial. You can go 'as hard as you can' but its a risk I am not willing to take especially when its such as big mission.

Wish me luck
