yo, pulled my wheels off tonight to adjust my height ride and got confused. ive had a pair of superstreets before and i knew what i was doing, but my new car came with a set FLEX and now i dont know wat im doing... dont have any instructions either.

Can anyone enlighten me on how to properly adjust the height on these? use the lower mount or spring perch to adjust? and how and where should i measure to be able to make all 4 the same height. SS only had one variable so was easy to do and measure, but flex has two variables so doesnt make sense to just put a ruler against and measure cause they could all be totally different.... right?

I had a go at it, loosened the bottom ring on the lower mount then turned the highest ring(spring perch) and whole shock spun which is right i guess but made some sickly deathly noises so i stopped and thought id better ask first. so can any1 can tell me sumthin?

If I remember correctly, the Flex has a threaded body, similar to the D2s

You adjust the height only by adjusting the lower collar and bracket (The one that bolts onto the Lower control Arms).

As for the spring perch (Upper Collars), thats only to tension the spring and lock it in place. You do not adjust this to adjust the height. You simply adjust this to make sure the springs are held firm. Do not use the spring perch to tension the springs as well as you could change the preload, and the spring rate. Just tight enough for the spring not to move is enough.

Have a look at the technical section on the D2 website, this would also give you a clearer picture on what you need to adjust.
