HiPowerRacing CRX 57.4 @ QR

We ran a new PB of 57.4 today our previous PB was 58.4. New on the car is ORC clutch, Jun Fly Wheel, Cusco LSD. What a difference all of this makes, car has a load more traction and the front end is much more pointy on power.

With new brakes coming we hope to be dipping into the 56s real soon :cool:

Out of curiosity, what is your mid corner through turn 1? and what speed you pulling down the main straight?

cant really help on this on either, being a jap import, the speedo only goes to 180 so its off the clock down the main straight showing about 6 o'clock? Speed in corner 1? Hard to tell coz its not a place to be looking at the speedo there, I remember before corner 2 we hit 8000 Rpm in 4th

Well i was running through turn 1 around 130 to 140 and i ran a 63.1 if that helps Super dave. I was on street tyres so i would imagine he would be around 150 to 160 on semis.

With the addition of Spoon brakes, solid engine mounts, new JIC coil overs different tune and cam timing.

We set a new PB today but yet so painful! 57.07 we so desperately wanted to join the 56 sec club... OH well next time.

56.92s today! :) Since last time we have installed Emanage, got more midrange now. We did a newbie mistake by forgetting to remove the 180km Jap speed limiter as we used a standard ecu with the emanage. Poor ivan had to drive all the way back to is shop to get a speed cut fender. He made it back after the 3 session and found out there wasnt a 4th session!

Lucky I managed a 56 even tho we were hitting the limiter and coasting the last 100m of the straight! So theres still some time in the car left.

18 months ago we were doing 64's so its awesome to be were we are now.

I don't even think V8 supercars do 160 through turn one, I used to do 140ish on semi's and 150ish using hoosiers, granted my car weighed close to 400kg more but 160 through one would be extremely ballsy as would 140 on street tyres :zip:

i managed to pull a 63.3 on my first run with my gsi integra, running a hybrid B18c engine (109kw) and kuhmo semies. I think i was hitting corner one at around 150kph but i agree, your eyes have gotta be on the track rather than the speedo :P

63s isnt bad at all. Thats up there compared to the other honda's. Dont give up until u get sub 60 :cool:

I'll come in on the 28th of this month and take it for a spin for the last WAS of the year, see if i cant beat my pb of 59.4 in my car. :cool:
