when i turn my car off, the whole car shudders for a second...

WAT IS THIS???!!!

i dont remember it ever happening this bad b4...

i drove a astra the other day and i turned the car off and it was quiet and smooth...

any1 who wat it is and how to fix it???

I drive a crappy old 1991 Lancer 2 work so I keep my CRX all prrrretty & it does that thing where it keeps running for a lil bit after I turn it off I think its Pre-iginition (its carb) I've been told it won't hurt anything :)

my egnine is a B16A...

i turn the car off at idle, which is at 1.6K rpm... (have to get that fixed)

also wen i touch the throttle for a moment and let go the revs drop to 700rpm for a split moment then i turn the car off...

ash, just take ur car to ward while, and tell them to have a look at it
every week u have a new problem:(

basically the car is still running after you turn it off for a second or two yeah ?

the shudder is excess fuel or carbon build up burning off inside.
OR one or more torque mounts are DEAD. (2 lower front and one rear.)

ill take a stab in the dark and suggest maybe the 1600rpm idle may have something to do with it
