Hey guys, i went to ozzy tyres other day, and they said they can "set" my springs.

its 1 " drop atm but would like about 1.5" more of a drop which they said they can drop it more.

is this a good method?

no. Because they heat up teh springs , and simply squash them down abit and then cool it off , giving a lower ride.
This would weaken the metal used - possibly make it more brittle.

IMO get a set of properly made springs.

man u have a dc5r dont be a tight ass lol go get coilovers. but honestly cant be too good if theyre compressing your stock springs, then again if your not going to care about handling go for it, it may be a cheaper option.

Would be as dangerous as cutting the springs, same bad principal, shortening the springs without increasing the rate.

Heat treating carbon steels completly changes the materials properties, they need to know exactly what composition the metal is made off, which they dont, and the rates of cooling for that particular composition.

yeah if youi get them compressed there could be a chace that the spring will bind and touch each othe as the coils would be closer together

bennjamin edit *you ask you wont get.
