How to check & set timing ? CD5

Hey guys, just wondering how I go about checking the timing on my CD5 accord ?
And if its out how do I change it ?

Is there a little mark somewhere that I need to line up or something ?

hi

1st you have to let the engine warm right up, thermo fans must come on at least twice

then find the blue SCS connector, and bridge it. ( the same way you check for fault codes) Its located under the glove box.


you use a timing light and set the timing to the red timing mark on the pulley


loosen the 3 bolts on the distributor so you can make your adjustments, then tighten them anbd recheck you settings.
