Hi guys, i'm looking into fitting the spoon lower arm tie bars to my car's front and rear.
However, the spoon site said the front lower arm bar will not clear the JDM 4-1 OEM headers...was wondering if the bar can fit underneath my stock OEM AUSDM headers..
anyone had these bars on? are they gonna fit?
Thanks.

i HAD SPOON ON, and it cleared ok AUDM.
you might get it touching while driving and it makes annoying moises.
thats why i got rid of it

what do u mean by get it touching while driving. Do you mean touching the headers or scraping it against the road / gutter?

The top of the LAB would bump the bottom of the HEADER.
There is always a few mm's gap between the two, but when doing spirited driving there is an inclination for the two to bump each other.
A quick ghetto fix would be to stick a bit of rubber onto the top of the LAB.
That worked for me but i ended up just hating the Spoon, so i took it off.

darn, that's not very good...maybe i should only get the rear lower arm bar.
BTW, is the front end stiff enough without the front LAB? Did you feel significantly more feedback with the LAB on?

in all honesty, i think that LAB's are just wank factor.
(thats why i got carbing rear and no-name front)
JUST WANK FACTOR
seriously, spend your money on something else.
i did notice a lil itch on my left nipple everytime i drive my car after the LAB's were installed

Hahaha thanks for that...
Type Rs are pretty stiff in general...when I drove the car ard I thought the area around the lower arm was pretty stiff too, it was only the rear tower area that felt a bit hollow. So i was wondering why spoon made a lower arm bar for a street car.
okies, now i can save my money on something else.

on newish cars - LAB's are wank factor. They do nothing , if not a TINY bit more response between LCAs.
On older cars with worn bushings tho , LAB's are a GREAT addition.
