That's a real Type-R there.

The real deal!

like the DC2's that came with No air con and no stereo and no sound deadening.

Awesome

Massive CF Intake right there...

Good to know that Type R is going back to its roots. DSG almost marks a new manual system for this generation of Honda sports cars.

193kw - more power than an s2000!
Plus its lighter so can it possibly beat an NSX? which would be heavier with the 3.0L engine and not that much more power.

Sounds a tad too good to be true...hope april fools jokes aint still looming around...

Yes, it's built as the new Group R/Super2000 rally homologation model.

http://www.compsystems.com.au/News/pr010407.htm

It's actually built and developed by JAS in Italy. Stefano says that their first tarmac tests put them on a par with a current Group N 4WD car.

Perfect weapon for Targa!!

C'mon, it's only 75,000 Euro..........

Oh yeah. The ECU in the rally homologation model is an EFI Technology Euro4 so I think we could do something about that.

http://www.compsystems.com.au/Products/Engine%20Control/EFIEuro/euro4.htm this says it has been use for the civic type r, is it the type r-r or the current Uk type r? so can u easily tune this ecu?

EfiOz
26-04-2007, 06:57 PM
It is used in the homologation package for rallying. It was also used by Honda for field testing the UK spec Type R, just the same as the Euro1 was sued by them to field calibrate the EP3 Civic Type R.

And, yes, the Euro4 is very tuneable.

EfiOz

No reason why you can't buy one. I'd have to check but I'm pretty sure it's eligible for Targa and those other tarmac rallies.

With the right driver it's the equal of a Gr N Evo or ScoobyDoo.

It's to supply air to the driver and navigator.

You can import any car you want, but you can't register it for the road if it is not under SEVS. So for rallies, circuit and all that, you can import the car. All you need is a CAMS license and proof that you regularly compete in these events.
