just had my wheel allignment done.. and as I suspected im needing a camber kit - BADLY!!! *for now anyway*

My camber is (Front)

L: -1.55
R: -2.45

im down to canvas on the right hand side and barely holding on the left...

Great for racing - bad for tyres!!!

$400 installed for whiteline camber kit - not bad I guess.

this is the ball joint type right

Those are not real extreme camber.

Much more importantly, what is your toe like as thats going to make a huge difference to tyre wear?

not extreme for a race car - sure. but for a street car i don't think its great.
Ofcourse people will more neg camber the lower they go but im being realistic.

Then wouldnt be rediculously worried about it. Just make sure to rotate your tyres regularly.

I could - true - I just wanna get a little more than 2yrs out of a set of tires :P Even if I rotate from Left to Right (directional) it only going to be a little extra.

-1 to -1.5 is normal - its the 2.55 thats a worry really.

Never mind.. :)

be careful im not sure if the whiteline camber kit has enough adjustment in it(might be the civic one I'm thinking of).
my friend fitted the k-mac one to his CRX. i think that had -+3 adjustment.

just make sure it has enough adjustment to correct the camber problems there are some kits that only give you -+1

yeah - i'll let the workshop know about the k-mac one. thanks!

they said 1 degree should be able to fix it enough not to kill the tires as bad. But if I can get a k-mac one then its definately enough
adjustment then.

Cheers

mike camber on mine is a lil bit more agressive :p

lhs: -2 52
rhs: -3 01

wouldnt want anymore but you are running bigger wheels and the price for the camber kit sounds good

Dont forget you can also rotate them back and front (assuming you are running same widths/profiles all around) :).

As CTR mentioned, also double check the amount of adjustability as well and be careful of some of the designs (ie skunk2's earlier designs).

sums it up. TOE is the destroyer of tyres. Just rotate abit more often and you probably wont ever have problems.
