96 Accord question - how much would you pay?

I might be able to snap a good deal on a genuine 50000kms 96 accord vtis.

Just curious to know is it normal that the sunroof on this doesn't has the tilt function?

And what common fault I should check on the car?

50,000kms thats pretty low for an 11yr old car.

Poid: what does it mean if smoke comes out of it when u rev it? never heard of that before.

yeh, i know, and it's got full service history too. everything is in pretty good nick.

when you rev it, if black smoke comes out from the exhaust, that means something is not right, and the car is running rich.
if white/blueish smoke comes out, that means it's burning oil, if it blows smoke right when you reving it, it's more likely the piston rings are gone, if it blows smoke after you rev it while you cruising, that's more likely the valve stem seal.

I know what to check normally, just want to see if there's any common problem I should look for. Thanks for the help.

ohh when u look inside the oil cap.. make sure there is much black stuff in there aswell..

i remeber seeing sumwhere that the fuel sender unit's on cd5's can have issues so that may be worth an extra look... not a huge prob neway tho...

it's a VTI-S.
definitely not a new odo. the condition of the car is mint!

Cold start on CD accord have knocking sound on the engine. My mechanic told me coz he was a honda Mechanic B4, when the engine warms. it wont sound any more. *hope it wont on urs*
Checking leaks on the hoses, how soft and how hard it goes..
squeeking at the back passenger usualy hapens. this is caused by the springs at the rear suspension. put a hose thourgh the springs would help it.
ABS light turns on .. check ur braking lights.. if ther is any problem.
Cv Boots need to check on that.

Btw that a low KMS on a 94 honda accord .. nice 1 u got :)

Fuel sender like vinnie said is a problem, i changed mine b4
check the timming belt and water pump conditions. its a 50K km's but its a 11 y'o car so better give that a check.

Is the F22B a interference engine?

how much would you pay for this accord with the following spec:

1996 facelifte VTI-S
Gold colour
2-3 minor dents, 1 minor scratch on bumper bar
Done around 50k with service log book showing all services
interior condition and engine bay shows it's a rarely driven car

f22b is a very strong engine ..

"poid" car has done 25x.xxx + kms and 5x.xxx of that with turbo and still running very smooth.

my car is 19x.xxx and turboed still running strong ..

is not a problematic engine. verry little problems. but that goes with tender loving cares :p

i would say .. arround 7.000-9.000 is the price market .. but if with nice conditions.. i would pay quiet bit.. for the quality assurance.
