since s2ki is down, I have a dilemma.
I have a feeling it cant be done but im hoping someone, who has enquired about this, can confirm it for me.
Is it possible to put a genuine Honda AP1 glass rear window complete roof, onto an AP1 S2000 that currently has a plastic rear window?
I have a feeling the folding mechanisms are different, but I'd like verification before I go buying....

Unless your are getting the 02 onwards frame, then I dont think it will fit, without retrofitting it. My Robbins top, requires straps to be placed on the frame to pull the roof in to allow the glass window to sit flat and not try and fold on itself, as the plastic window does.
Speak with Aus, he has the OEM roof, with glass rear window he may have an idea about how he is going to go about it.

You can fit it with very minor modification. Just need some elastic straps to ensure the rear bar folds first.
There is a whole write up on it on S2ki. And yes, S2ki is back up.
MAD and I will be doing a conversion or our respective cars shortly. You're welcome to check it out and see the mod in practice.

not sure about where u can get it done, but there are places that repair/install convertible rooves...the roof itself costs $800~ landed here from the US and installation is about $60~ an hour and the job takes 10 hours...
hmm....was more interested in just changing the rear window ......but thanks for ur reply anywayz much appreciated

ok, well u can't.
the glass rear window is smaller and the roof needs to fold differently so you don't break the glass...otherwise i'm sure everyone would have changed to glass if it was easy enough...
