Just wondering if there is a DIY way to make the carpet wrap around the existing moulds of the boot (on the sides of boot)? I want to replace the carpet that is there atm.

Cheers

ok... depending on the shape u can do it urself... but for carpet... as it not very strectchy... i would only do the flat pannels... and leave the tricky parts to the pros... but if u are going to attemt it..make sure u use contact adheasive... and stretch it slowly and firmly to take the shape.. start at 1 corner and work out from there

mmm was thinking of doing this myself to my prelude. as the stock lining is very loose and hollow. so it dosnt help my sound at all. plus it will look nicer with some nice fresh carpet in there

We also did the same thing to my friends rolla, same colour as yours, turned out a bit dark for my liking but we put in some neons to light it up

nah it's just mdf and i re-trimmed it in white vinyl

The shower curtain rail is there to make sure the 2 sides don't collapse in, and also doubles up as a custom made rear sway bar :p

The bottom is made up of 2 separate pieces so i can still get to the spare wheel. I had to get a space saver as the normal tyres stick out in eg boots so they have a ghey bubble looking thing in the middle, and i didn't like it so that's y i knida started and than i just kept going

sorry 4 hijacking the thread

Sweet idea, might do that for my boot :-)

How much does a space saver set you back?
I've contemplated rolling without a spare to get around the bubble thing but not such a good idea i spose...

I thought about it as well but i didn't wanna risk it and so many of my friends have been caught out with either no spare or they filled up their boot with gear (eg: 4x15" subs :p) and they couldn't get to their spare.

I got the space saver for $35 at a wrecker, he let me go and pick one so i found one in a 04 civic, still has the chalk line around the tyre, never been on the road :D
