Lowest point of the car must be at least 100mm off the ground.
Try the RTA website for more information.

Plus also check guidelines for insurance if you're going to insure it.

For NRMA it's maximum lowering by 30mm from stock. I just checked because I was also wondering the same thing :)

Also a few things like:

- bottom of car cannot be lower than the rear rims
- 1/3 of original clearance

I don't really know much but this is what they told me :)

As far as I know, a car has to have at least 100mm clearance from the ground with max. no of passenger that the car can carry legally, eg. 5 passengers on a 4 door civic include the driver and etc... therefore, it needs to have a bloody high clearance according to what the regulation says if u still need to have 5 ppls in the car but still have 10cm clearance.

I got defected for having my rear wheel tucked under the arch.. he told me you should be able to put your hand on the top of the tyre..... I talked my way out of it in the end.. good ol' adjustable teins :-)
