Just wondering is there a super laps type of thing going on in Australia?

In New Zealand they just started it, doing it in two or three classes... Being fully road going cars, workshop/sponsored cars and full race.

Possibly be something worthwhile doing here if it's not already done...

There are events here that you can participate in before time attacks were even called time attacks, e.g. like supersprints.

A supersprint is an event where you go out on the track and do 3 flying laps. In a single day, you might do a total of 15 flying laps. The best time is then taken.

These events are already well organised, all it needs are keen participants. You don't even need a super dooper modified car.

But if you think these people are slow, check out the times at the recent CAMS Championship round at Eastern Creek. They'll put many a super dooper modified car to shame.
