Neon Light and Power

Is it alright if I hook up two neon tubes to the wires that connect to the boot light, so when I open my boot they turn on? Is this way safe (nothing should blow up)??? Or is there a better option?

Yeah had a look at this before. Was just interested in how you connected the wires together... because im running two neons in the boot. Guess i will just independently solder each one onto the back of the boot light plate.

its easy man, just take the light out and hav a look, test which side is +ve and -ve right and then just attach the wire to the plate thats holding the light bulb, dont even need soldering iron, . i just tangoed them, but make sure u duct tape it or sumthing so the -ve and +ve wont touch
no problem so far had em so a yr, only thing was i blew my boot light cos i was rewiring it and 2wires touched, no biggy just went to teh wrecks and got another good as new

sorry 2 steal, but is it possible to wire neons up somewhere so that when the door opens they light up? im guessing i just wire it to the fuse that controls the roof light?

ur right... you will need a constant 12v power supply though because the dome light trigger is negative pulse. My advise is to tap a constant 12v supply and fuse it, than tap the negative trigger of the dome light...:thumbsup:
