What lights are u referring to?
Headlights are in the engine bay, quite straight forward,
Parkers you'll need to get under the car for, OR take off the indicating corners.
Rear tails, you'll need to remove the rear most trim in the boot to expose the bulbs themselves.

With your reversing issue, usually if u jst ride the friction point with no revs, the car will move slowly but its usually close to the point where your car will stall hence the lights will start to flicker.
Maybe give your car a bit more revs.

bluntly put: i'd learn to drive it properly before you start to replace stuff that probably isn't broken.
