Hey guys, just wondering when VTEC kicks in on a stock B18CR Jap Spec and Aus Spec? (i.e. B18C5 and B18C7). Mine kicks in at 5, 800 RPM and you can really start hearing it at 6, 000 RPM. I think this is too late...

Btw, I have an APEXi Power FC, am I able to change what RPM VTEC kicks in?!

I think the Aussie spec is 5800.

When I bought my car initially it had a vtec controller and I played with the crossover point. Set it to 4800 and its horrible. 5800 is optimum or near optimum.

I since have got rid of those cheap electronics. Not worth it.

its 'kickin' in at the normal rpm point

and yes u can change the vtec crossover point with the power fc but you would want ur tuner to decide that as it may not benefit you. could actually lose power.

what i've noticed..
comparing the rsm to the actual tacho..
when i'm doing 6000rpm on the tacho, it's like 5500rpm on the rsm
