Common issues on EG civics

anyone got a few common issues with EG civics both hatch and sedan? I'm trying to learn a bit more on my car.

My EG hatch had squeaks from the tailgate and a little knock in the front (I think there was a bit of movement in the rack), nothing turning the radio up didn't fix! ;-D

What issues do you have with yours??

oh, your details say you have a 97 GLi, you didn't mean EK did you???

sagging front bar is also a common issue... can be fixed with DIY reinforcing the brackets

Maybe its ur seatbelt. I thought it was my seat squeekin, its only quiet, like when no radio, at the lights, but it would do it when i breathed in and out. took me 6 months to relise its from the seatbelt. From the part with the button

yeah I got an EG haven't updated my profile yet :p. So far I know of the trailing arm bushes been a problem since they split over time and make the most annoying squeak/creak over every little bump >< and I know of the saggage with the front bar and I've already done mine ^^ so happy

we had a EG gli civic hatch and the boot glass thingy (bad with words) gas lifter my brother inlaw cant find it anywhere, not even wreckers

You can buy the gas struts from ebay...

front and rear bar sagging....and seats squeek..!!

the boot lining that covers the spare tyre thats made of wood warps and then rattles
the plastic lining on the door strip along the window seal cracks and fades and eventuallys looks shit
dashes crack up the middle front all the time
the inside plastic door locks for your door handles always break then u cant lock the door from the inside
the main fuel relay goes and starting your car starts to be a pain in the ass
head rest on the seats always break off it mounts and becomes loose
thats from the top of my head for now

The inside door holder thing next to the window control...something the screwing point can break and the holder become lose and will rattles with the the movement of the engine.

Yea i had that head rest mount break up on my EG hatch as well.
How to fix it? or Where can i get it fix?

just get a new one from the wreckers
the only tricky thing is matching the trim to yours
theres really no point in fixing it cost wise

Im fixing mine by grabbing a set of leather headrests with LCD screens in the back from ebay for $200 lol

But everything in that list has happened to my EG3 lol...
