My mate took my car out for the weekend; and I wake up to a message:

"Hey mate, had a problem with your car. Don't worry. It's minor. We're at the shop getting it fixed.'

I havn't had a chance to take a look, but he had to get new extractors put on. Apparently; my extractors shat itself and got a split down it; powerloss, etc.

It was taken to Liverpool Exhaust, so I'm confident I shouldn't have any problems.

Total cost was about $450; new extractors, labour.

What causes these things? Are they usually found in sub-standard quality extractors?

Cheers ;)

dodgy welding. All it takes is a small impact , or rust to open up a thin weak weld.

The rest of your exhaust being slightly twisted or out of alignment will cause it to crack as well.
