guys... need your help

Boot light not working
Ceiling light not working
Intermittent level for windscreen wipers not working
Head-Lights on warning sound when you open driver side door not working

I just installed a neon stick in the boot and 2 days later
I notice these things are not working (including the neon now)

can anyone suggest a fix for these issues?

Vehicle is a 1995 CIVIC VTI SEDAN

Sounds like u just blew a fuse to the integrated control unit, check for a 7.5Amp or 10Amp fuse under dash & see if its broken.

Then check the connection u made with the neon is correct. What is the rating of the Neon?

fuses usually are the culprit as these guys above have mentioned, i had a similar problem . changed a fuse and everything worked as per usual. cant remember which one though u just hafta look at the fuse diagram on the lid.

I meant, what is the total power rating,ie wattage or amps of the neons?

If u put say about 70W(6Amps) or more worth of neons in your car then in combination with the boot light & ceiling light u will blow a little 7.5A fuse every time if u leave them turned on long enough.

I should also say the fuse could be in your main fuse box in the engine bay, check there also.

blown as.

for a bit extra, jaycar sell fuses with lights in them, so they light up when the fues is blown.

How cool is that. Are they standard spade fuses in all other ways?

thats sounds like an awsome idea would be easy as to find a fuse that is busted now, instead of looking at every fuse, just find the one with a light on

yheah thats the idea.

how they work is

they have the normal fuse bit, and across that same path is a fillament globe. so then the fuse bit blows, the current flowes through the fillament and lights it up, the load of the fillament is no way near enough to allow anything to happen from what ever tripped the fues

then take the neon out and see if its still draining the power, or stops blowing the fause.
