When I got the car I figured I would spend the money I saved going with the standard instead of lux on mods. So far I have got the Euro R kit, fogs, Prodrive rims, sports suspension, RSM, and misc braces, sway and other small bits and pieces. Still haven't spent the difference I saved going with std so that is pretty good.

ps - I saw you driving in the Sydney CBD like 15 minutes ago ALF487.

1. Coilovers (TEIN Flex) $2000+
2. CAI (Injen, K&N) $480+
4. Rims (19inch Jap Forged rims) $4000+
5. Bodykit (Phase, Mugen) 1800+

I think everybody's choice of mod would be different -- everybody likes/requires different things. For me (in order of desire):

1. Cat-back exhaust
Tanabe SMH or SM Touring; Fujitsubo legalis R; or HKS silent hi-power.
I like a nice note but not overpowering and a subtle look. Plus, from what I've seen of everybody's dynos, it seems to me that a cat-back is the only thing that consistently fattens up the torque and power curve without any loss anywhere in the rev range range compared to stock. Honda spent a lot of time reducing underbody drag, so I'd lean towards an oval muffler like the stock setup.

2. Rear swaybar
A consistently reported improvement. I wouldn't go above 18 mm.

3. Lowered suspension
Subtle drop -- I'd be happy with 1 inch or so. I don't like slammed cars plus too low is just annoying. I wouldn't want a stiffer than stock ride (I like a firm ride but these days I like my comfort too).

I'm pretty happy with my stock car. My choice of mods would be based on what I like in a real-world driving road car without huge expense. If I really wanted to keep spending money, I'd move on to a Mugen airbox, then a set of headers (not race)... I'd work on my mid-range without losing my top end.

Yup, you took the words right out of my mouth. I'm totally with you on this one. So far I've got my LegalisR now onto the suspension and RSB.
