Can you imagine the sort of turbo system you could have on a car like this for 12000?!

k20/24 combo should make a reliable 200kw at the wheels with the right parts, like to see you build a reliable 200kw turbo honda.

And to set the car up properly for that kind of power (inc sussy, brakes, etc) your probly looking at closer to 20k.

There is about 5k of parts needed for the conversion
k20 head 2-3k (thats if you can find just a head, or a blown engine)
k24 - 2k
Internals and cams - 4-7k

I know of a dc2r k20/24 being built at the moment, will be good to see once finally on the road.

are you on ****in drugs?

200kw AT THE WHEELS??????

building the MOTOR to put out that much horsepower will cost you 20k,you gotta buy it first

200kw at the wheels reliable will be a LOT easier if you turbo a B18... low boost turbo on a B18c7/5 will give you that, and cost maybe half the amount

maybe im wrong i dunno, too much red wine right now

200kw out of an N/A K-series will not be as reliable as a 200kW turbo B-Series (or turbo K-series for that matter). 200kW is NOTHING for a built motor. You'd have to try your hardest to make a 200kW built motor unreliable (so long as you do it right in the first place).

Man you gotta get some facts straight!

1. How much do ya reckon you would have to put into a K20 to get 200kw ATW N/A, give me an example of someone who has done that for under 10k?!

2. Turbo any B series and you can comfortably run 200 odd kw with very limited internal mods. Think bout "BONSAI" from the hi octane series!
That little CRX was done quite cheap, and pulled HUGE numbers!

Seriously dude... don't go shooting ppl down without sum good facts...

Very doable. Over on k20a.org there's guys who have publicly hit 360+fwhp (270fwkw) and probably into the 400's behind the scenes; all still N/A. Take off a few to account for them "reading higher" and you're still well above 200kw.
