Just wondering...
Which one is better...
EG Si or EG VTi
Which is faster...
Although one is Using DOHC another one uses SOHC Vtec...
But which one should I go for if i have the choice...
Please advice....

there are so many threads about si vs vti
have u even bothered to search ?
bottom line is
what do u prefer
the linar power
or the top rush power?
they are about the same
u cant say which 1 is quicker

both are slow, so i wouldn't go making a decision on buying the car on speed.

theres already a thread with atleast 3pages of replies...search for that
VTi is better. both same power, VTi has nicer interior and a sunroof...

Vti got sunroof.. that's what different.. consider the engine.. better buy a breeze.. and swap engine straight away :D

depends on the year. if they are mid 93 onwards, breeze do not use carbi anymore. same as gl (mechanical) to gli (electronic)

if u were for luxury go vti, if u want better power out of the two engine go for the SI,
well in my exp anyway..
vti's get pwnd.

because the si has more torque.

Huh, what do u mean mechanical???

There both slow cars, one has sunroof, one doesn't... thats the deciding factor

i love my vti..

if ur gonna max it out ur better off getting gli and putting another engine in.. but if ur gonna keep it standard id go vti coz of the sunroof..

its not so much a rush of top power, but a rush of noise hehe

well in that case.

In 1993 oct, the breeze got an engine uprade to a 1.5L SINGLE POINT fuel injection. Which still made LESS power than th GL's twin carb setup.

Thats also when the GL hatch was discontinies and a GLi was bought in (with an extra 2kw.)

and i wish people would stop saying well it doesnt matter they both slow, Yes they are slow compared to b16's and b18's and skylines etc, but for what they are, they go alryt... i used to keep up/ beat SSS's etc with my SOHC VTEC motor...give them some credit
