Hi Guys,

Have just bought an EG auto VTI with 192,000km on it. Can someone tell me what service should be done on 200,000km?

One more question, please also tell me a reasonable and reliable mechanic around north shore (Ryde area)

Thanks guys.

the most forfilling way would be to attempt what you at the service yourself.. I have found many guides on here and there very detailed and helpfull:thumbsup:

change all fluids, filters, timing belt, water pump, check ignition timing, even be picky and re-torque down important components of the motor! check brake pads and rotors for wear... and if you want... do an ecu check to see if any sensors are on there way out...

could go further... lol... depends on how anal you are about it...

Start small, with thinkings like oil, brake fluid, etc, there is many very well narated diy guides on here just search..More advanced stuff get a garage to do it for you, or maybe theres a member on here in your area?who might be helpfull and come and show you how..?

dell99 a 160,000km service for you (assuming you have an EK civic) would be:
all fluids, brake master cylinder (I think, correct if wrong), fuel filter, spark plugs, air cleaner element, oil filter
that's all I can think of

That sounds resonable. Its the genuine parts that cost heaps. I would sugest finding someone on here to do it.

You need

Timing belt kit includes harmonic balancers and belts
Water pump <--- May not need it but do it to be safe
Oil
Oil Filter
Fuel Filter
Tappet clearance adjustment
Coolant
Brake fluid
Spark plugs
Auto Transmission fluid

Probably looking at about $600-$800 or more if you use all genuine Honda parts

Because of the timing belt needing to be changed every 100,000km the 200,000km service is a biggie

What state are you in?
