The high pressure water is used to wash off the gunk and reduce glare. Especially useful on interstate trips.

they dont, there is just a correlation between luxury cars being the ones that have HID's, and also the ones that have headlight washers.

they are not a necessity.

Under ADR regulations, HIDs MUST HAVE washers and auto levellers.

They are pretty useless if you ask me.

I have had my car for almost 4 years now and have only used the headlight washer once - on the day I first picked up the car to see what it's like! lol!

If you are driving at night with the lights on and use the windscreen spray, the HID spray should work automatically at the same time too.

Yeahbut if you have an AUDM car with stock HIDs, it should spray when you use the windscreen washer. Which model do you have?

Nah, there's a separate button for activating the headlight washers only.
