G'day all,

Purchased my first Honda late last year - a brand new 8th Gen VTi-L Civic. My first (and only) car before that was a '91 model Barina - is it's a bit of a step up in quality!

Loving the car, partly because it has over 100% more power than my old Barina (49kW vs 103kW) and partly because it's just damn sexy, inside and out.

Now I want to make my beauty a little different from the other you see on the road, and so I've started small and I've just ordered a replica Mugen grill.

I'm a complete noob when it comes to car modifications - so forgive me if this is a stupid question:

Obviously my Civic is still under the three year warranty - will the warranty be voided if I replace the standard Honda grill with this replica Mugen grill? If so, is there anyway around this?

I plan on doing the replacement myself, I've had a look under the hood and can work out how it's done. But are there any tricks to it, or things I should look out for?

Thanks in advance if anyone can help me with this

i doubt it would void your warrenty. But maybe call them up and ask (just to be on the safe side if your concerned). You could always replace it with stock grill if you needed to take it to your dealer. As for installing, i got an ek and all i had to do was remove the front bumper and pop it in. I think there were only like 8 screws holding it on. Although im sure people have more info on your model in reguards to installing *thumbs up*

Hi DropBear. WELCOME! I cant see why replacing the grill would void the warranty....but YEH, check with your dealership (make the phone call anonymous, hehe). :D

Hi dropbear, welcome to the forums. Like the others have mentioned, call Honda Australia and call your dealership to verify your warranty queries.

Oh, and I wanna see some pics of your new pride and joy.

You don't have to remove the bumper to change the grill on EK's :P

Just need someone with small hands
