from what i hear, mongoose alarms are quite easy to crack thru....main reason is because they're so common the thieves are used to them

ive got a rhino rav2 with extra tilt sensor, dual zone microwave and comes with glass and shock sensor (basically its the ram without the sms) i went for the rhiono cos every tom dick and harry has the mongoose so sooner or later theivs are gonna relise hey how good is this ost people have the same alarm so easy for them to remember the wiring etc...

one thing with the rhino is the shock sensor isnt too flash, i have mine on full seseitivity (prolly due to the fact where i mounted the control box which is a secret) it is fairly complex to wire, still havnt wired my central locking,

anyway the alarm is sometimes onl as good as the install. i suggest u get the tilt and microwave addon the microwave usually normally for convertibles but i use it as it warns if someones next to the car moving around and if the car was broken into, the alarm goes off or even if there around the car moving 3 times in 15 sec, sometimes its a pain like in car parks when people get out of the car but id rather that the getting it stolen.

if the mongoose wasnt so popular if go for it but the rhino is just as good. the ram sounds good cos it sms' ya to.

if it hard to put in, wouldnt it be hard to remove.

its where u hide the imobilizer and the siren/alarm that is the best thing.

The more well hidden and harder to get to , the better.
