Hi,

Just a quick question... :)

I'm after an oil adapter and have found a trader here selling one:

I have been asked whether my car has the factory oil cooler - as it will not fit if I do. But I am not sure...sorry if this is ignorant/newbie. :(

My car is a 2000 Integra Type R (AUDM)....

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

icegroove, the factory oil cooler that your talking about isnt actually a proper oil cooler so to speak, but there is a small heat exchange on the back of your block that the oil filter sits.

The unit exchanges heat from your oil with your coolant to cool the oil with the radiator effectively.

i just installed mine over the weekend and it looks exactly like the Mfactory's item. Its pretty easy and you do not need to drain the oil. just make sure that the engine is cool and that you have high heat and pressure sealant to prevent any possible oil leak. No problem with the factory oil cooler and filter.

hope that helps.

The B18C7 has a heat exchange cooler stock. It works as Pornstar has said.

It will not interfere with the Adaptor you are looking at fitting.
