View Full Version : What size sump plug in 88 Accord Si [A20A4]

As title says, i need to know asap, what size SumpPlug on an A20A4,as i jus bought the car last nyt, to find it leaking badly cause some focker used the wrong plug and decided to add a silver washer too :S

any help really appreciated.

it's the same as your eg.
14mm.
and they are supposed to have washers.
everytime you take off the plug, your supposed to change the washer that is there, which is obvisously a 14mm washer.

yes but a rubber washer not a bloody metal one?

then why the fcuk is mine leaking :S and it wont tighten any more then it is now, jus keeps turning? :S

You probably need a new sump or have it cut and welded with a new thread

Honda sump bolt thread is weak as piss

Tried a new bolt though, maybe yours is cross threaded

your sump plug is leaking because the thread on the sump is stripped. if your lucky its just the sump plug that is rooted. you may get away with just a new sump plug and washer.

if the thread in the sump is hammed, you can use a tap to repaire it, or get it helicoiled.
