first time for me buying a Honda which is the jazz and couple of people says it will handle a pretty good trashing with its engine for being vtec and all, i know this engine was suppose to be for fuel consumption only but it does have a sport mode which i use sometimes when i feel the need for speed.

Ive got the cvt 7spd auto 1.5vti version which i have been revving the shit out of it till say 6500-near redline, i dont do this often but one day after revving the engine that far i felt when idleing, the car would shake, then rattle, sounds like the gears had enough, i took it to a honda dealer, the guy told me that this is the first time that ever happen to the jazz, and he also added if you like to you can borrow our crv for a day which you can rev it..

well after they fixed the problems, everything seems to go fine until 1 day when i start my car.. i hear a small "bang" just like when you hit a speed bump (anyone know about this probs?).. un-noticable when you dont actually trying to hear it.

ive got 38000kms on it now and its a 2002.
gotta get it serviced at 40k, cant wait till i get it serviced.

Well i just tought i just share this with ya'll...

Why dont you just take it back to Honda again?
And Jazz were never designed to be thrashed day in day out.

It's because it's an auto....

But seriously I have never heard of anyone having problems at all. Maybe you just got super-unlucky.

At the end of the day, the Honda service department is your friend.

true, well the car seems fine after a couple of days but every now and then i heard the sound.. but no problems at all, i reckon it just needed a new service. i normally do 110+ in highways with the car so i dont know whether the speed may effect it

Speed shouldn't have an effect.

It sounds strange, but is really hard to diagnose without experiencing it. Also given that there aren't any other Hondas on here with a CVT auto gearbox, I doubt whether you will get much guidance apart from "see the dealer".

Hopefully it is nothing serious. Let us know how you go
