Speedo No Working

well after doing my conversin from D16Y4 to D16Y8 i have lost my speedo, as far as i can see the speed sensor is plugged in. what could be the problem? anyone around brissy able to come help me fix it?

used the stock one off the D16y4 ? OR the one off the D16y8 ?

uses a D16Y4 gear box so i have the D16Y4 sensor

check to see if its all connected obviously.

Is there gear still functional on the end of the sensor.

Might also be a problem behind the cluster.

i had a similar problem mate, for me it turned out to be a loose plug behind the cluster itself so that was nice and easy.

Not sure how you can check if your vss is working or not, or if you can use your old one maybe???

run a DIY ECU test to see if the ECU is picking up the fault code for the VSS -

If it shows code 17 (VSS) then the connection somewhere is loose or disonnected or the VSS is faulty itself. Otherwise the VSS might be fecked

Mine did the same thing, but it only stopped working after the engine warmed up for about 10mins of driving... Still dont know how to fix it :-(
