i was thinking about putting some power into my car, and was wondering if it would make a big difference if i put CTR parts on my car

was thinking about extractors and throttle body first off a CTR
a 2 1/4 or 1/2 full exhaust

and the cams redone at hannys

i want this done to a B16 engine, reckon there will be a difference in power?

to take full advantage of any mod's u make to the car..

cam.TB.exhasut filter etc etc etc..

u need to get a tunabel ECu such as hondata..

it's will give u maximum gain if tuned right.

Am I correct in saying that CTR parts are quite rare compared to other OEM parts, and come at a premium?
I think most people will advise you stick to a 2.25" exhaust for your b16a.
Good luck.

so how much am i looking for the computer?
is it possible to get it second hand?

just wondering also, will it be easier to get JDM ITR parts instead of CTR parts? will they bolt straight on?

it is...possible..

ur best bet is to Pm BLKCRX..to get the exact prices and what is nest suited for u

as he is a hondata specialist

Whats the point of adding type-r stuff when you can get better and cheaper upgrades, even if you do upgrade everything to type-r spec your only going to gain 10kw.

just get a set of good 4-1 extractors, 2.25" cat back with a nice muffler and a decent intake. You will then end up with the same power as a real CTR without going internal with the engine mods.

o and yes. OEM JDM Civic R parts are EXPENSIVE. Trust me ;)

oz itr cams and stuff are all generic.. and are easy obtained.
B series rocks...
Oh civic type R... how could u produce the same power as a CTR with a full exhuast and intake? please explain?

One thing i dont get from spoon... Why does spoon make a venturer plate? IF a venture plate increases power whats the point of getting larger intake manifold? i have no idea.....

Dont forget the 'civic type R' decals - who needs a B16B anyway ?? :D

a CTR with that mod will make more power again..over the b16a
