If that becomes the Accord, then our Thai Accord should also look like that.

I agree. If that goes into production it'll be the Accord. It's too big to be the TSX/Euro.

Don't be surprised if the "Accord Euro" disappears from the line-up completely.

Honda have already said that they're not going to bring any (rebadged) Acura models here in the near future. Unless the Japanese Honda Accord is different to the US Accord, then this is what we're going to get.

Considering that manufacturing in Thailand is much cheaper, I think you'll see fewer and fewer models actually being built in Japan.

In Japan isn't the Accord our Accord Euro, while our Accord is actually the Inspire in Japan?

looks good but not as good as the current shape.

Yes, our "Accord Euro" is the Japanese and European Accord, and the Acura TSX. Our "Accord" is the American Accord and Japanese Inspire.

But Honda seem to be streamlining their line-up and shifting more and more production to Thailand, so I wouldn't be surprised if the "Inspire" badge disappears and only this newly spied Accord exists.

It seems to me that the slightly smaller car (Accord Euro) is easily replaced by the new Civic sedan -- there really isn't much size difference (and it's made in Thailand!). Who knows: if the Euro disapperas, you might see a mid-lfe update for the Civic with a 2.4 for the top model.

The only thing that makes me think there might be some sort of Accord Euro replacement (but what it will be badged, I don't know) is the Honda Sports concept that was displayed a while ago -- which had SH-AWD and obvious visual ties to the Euro.

I'm just surmising -- I could be completely wrong!

Hmmm... There does seem to be a lot of info floating around the net regarding the new Euro/TSX having SH-AWD and a version of the Acura RDX's K23A1 turbo engine. This would be great if so but my gut feeling is that the design will be much like the Sports-4 concept but perhaps be powered by the newer 2.4 Advanced V-TEC engine currently being tested and retaining FWD.

Not my cup of tea. It looks like previous two generation Camry. They gonna screw up again, but hopefully they will not screw the Euro. Thank goodness Euro is styled and built in Japan, while our Accord will be built in Thai.

If I wanted a Hyundai I'd buy 1, that's ugly.

Honda Aust would be nuts to let the Euro go, there are heaps more Euro's then Accords on the roads.
