engine identification help!!!

Hey pplz my mate has a 3rd gen lude with a H22A engine... that is all it sais on the block 'h22a' and he called the import place where the previous owner got it and said it a jap import...

Sooo what does this mean the engine is??

same as the vti-r h22a or a less powerfull one...

any1 with some specs...

Mate, are you talking about 3rd or 4th gen? 3rd gen Jap imports came only with B20A to my knowledge not with the H22A. Do you mean the 4th Gen BB4?

In any case JDM Spec H22A makes 147kW, AUDM H22A1 makes 142kW :)

it was a engine swap....

just dont know what the specs are for the engine that was swapped in 2 it....

H22A (JDM)
Power: 147.10kW @ 6800 rpm
Torque: 218.69Nm @ 5500 rpm

H22A1 (AUDM)
Power: 142kW @ 6800rpm
Torque: 212Nm @ 5250rpm-5250rpm

Dreadangel is correct. its like the B series too. B18c is JDM. B18c7 is AUDM

well atleast its got VTEC, unlike that toher guy who though he got an import prelude engine
