Just wondering what km's I can expect from my d15b4 (89 civic manual hatch)

I change oil , plugs, fliters every 6 - 10,000k. and it appears to be in good condition (only had it since jan) doesnt blow any smoke apart from black at high rpm but thats not much and is expected.

Its just clocked over 205,000ks, I only use genuine honda parts and mobile one oil.

How many k's do you think I could get out of it? I'm hoping a fair bit more

Anyone with experience?

Thanks

Id say anything between another 80-100thou is possible. U would have more problems from other things (like the radiator/hoses) leading to engine problems due to them getting old and corroded. So u never know, maybe more, maybe less. A mate had an older gen accord live till ~310k before some gimps road it off. Some ppl expereince problems earlier though..

254,000kms on my B16A with regular thrashing and servicing ;)

My D15B powered GL ran to 236,000 before carking it in a puff of smoke :P

Not at all, I used mineral based oils and changed every 15-20K instead of 5-10 :) I drive the SiR a lot harder though ;)

i swear you just cant kill the ole' D15b4 motors. the one I had in mine before i had it replaced was refusing to die no matter how hard i drove it.

it would happily rev out to redline, and in response it would just blow more smoke hahaha :D . hardy little motors, thumbs up
