Yes it is possible. There are many threads on this issue on this and other forums. I have just spent a day or so researching it myself.
- I dont think the regulars will be up for explaining this AGAIN. :o

Is your head buggered? or are you just looking to upgrade? :)

Basically all timing gear from h22 will be neaded (anything that touches the belt) + vetec controllers ecu etc??? I'm not to sure about that though.

Search for h23 vtec or h23 hybrid. I too lazy to do it for you. Sorry.

I'll help ya out!

It's not as easy as it sounds, slaping the h22 head on isn't your worry... Different conrods and pistons are needed, no need for vtec controller, just get a Hondata for tuning and making that thing run hard!

Your going into a major build here. Looking at about 5k worth of parts and another 4k for install of parts and engine and tuning.

Again.. I can source you a H23 Vtec import? pm me if you want.

I beg to differ.

You dont need different conrods or pistons to build a h23vtec.

You have the choice of running either the h23 or the h22 pistons. You are better off running the h23 rods because they are what gives the h23 its extra displacement. The h22 and h23 block are esentially the same.

Another way of building this motor would be to get a h22 and put h23 rods in it. This however is another kettle of fish.

It's the crank, not the rods which adds displacement. The rods are a fixed length....
