Hi,
Want to lower Euro by 25mm all round with not much compromise with comfort. What coilovers are there to choose from?
Is the Tein SS any good? Heard about problems of rusting and squeeking noises.
Also am considering Eibach springs with Bilstein shocks but would prefer coilovers as primary choice.
cheers
well i don't know much about the difference between but i can tell you that you can get TEIN SUPER STREET DAMPER COILOVERS for about 2k im not too sure so someone corret me if im wrong ^_^

Teins don't rust unless you live next to the ocean (then you should be worrying about your car rusting too).
My set, which is at least 2 years old doesn't have any rust on it.

i just ordered a set of tein ss from oversea.
but from trader here on OH u can get it for around $1430 from edw-R and $200 extra for upper mount. The price varies, so best to ring up/ pm and ask. like is motor racing sell them for 2200... and some trader here with 1700. so all depends where to get it.

I suggest to really consider an eibach kit instead of coils if you're not even planning of taking your car to the track. Cheaper, more effective for street, ride comfort and to sum it up... MORE PRACTICAL! This will be the same suggestions as what ALF487 mechanic will say. But hey, it's up to you.

Tein SS are street coilovers. They are comfortable for street and are too soft for the track.

Why are they too soft for the track? People doing 1:41s (DC5R) at Winton with Tein SS still mean they are too soft?
Please refer to my thread about the misconception that "Harder/stiffer = better hanlding".

They feel almost like stock. To me, SS is a good compromise between street and the occassional track. So go for it if you are satisfied. :)

I'm using the Tein SS for euro for about 2 yrs so far, no rusting at all.
But i found it a little bit too soft, F8K R4K is juz not enough for the heavy euro. Anyways, it is comfortable for street use not bumpy at all.

I dont want the ride to be too hard...prefer come comfort esp with some dodgy sydney roads.
