Getting my Dash out

How the hell do i get my Eg3 Dash out??? It gets stuck on the indicators or something around there...

Do i have to take them off or the wheel off?

Please help i need to get this done before next weekend...

how the hell do you get the wheel off then?
I cant see how todo it without unbolting the whole shaft from the chassis?

you wanna get the wheel off, just as you would to change the tyre??

Chances are theres a centre cap thats consealing the wheel nuts that you need to take off.

Why are you taking the wheel off if you wanna take the dash out???

Or are they just 2 different things you wanna do??

How is your dash touching your wheel?? Your dash is on the inside and your wheel is on the outside??

rhys, take off the plastic under the steering wheel. You'll see 2 12mm bolts holding up the steering arm/shaft just below the ignition barrel and 2 more a bit further down. Just undo them and lower the whole thing (steering wheel and all) to the floor

to take the dash out, you have to remove the whole stesring colunm. do you mean cluster ???

Just popped the steering wheel off, unscrewed the indicators and then the dash just came right out :)
Shall be painting tommorow and installing again on Sunday arvo :-D

Does anyone know of a place that does full body re-sprays around redcliffe or the northside?

does anyone have a DIY on how to take off ur dash (EG)????

it's easy man. take your glove box of (2 phillips (+) screws underneath) and you'll see 4 screws there (10-12mm can't remember) there are 2 on either side, when you open your door you'll see a little rectangular cover, pop it off and undo those 2, there is one under the central air vent, pull it up and out and you'll see it, and finally one above the accelerator somewhere, where your right knee would be approx. Take off the plastic cover that is abouve your knees (3 + screws) and you'll see it.

Now, you can either take off your steering wheel if you want (if you for an aftermarket one or non-airbag one) but i usually just lower the whole steering column to the floor, If you follow your steering column down you'll see one bracker with 2 12mm nuts and another with 2 12mm bolts, just undo those 4 and drop the column, saves you unplugging the h/l and indicator wires etc...whatever is on the stalks. if you need pix let me know, i'm bored :p

get sumthin very flat n poke out the honda badge in d middle of the steering wheel.

then get d bolt out inside there.

not too sure about the column tho ....

Fossil, i got an airbag steering wheel, so no square in the middle, hence it's easier for me to drop the column :p
